Do You Drink Coffee?

Do you drink a lot of coffee? Do you ever wonder if buying all that coffee is a good investment of the money God has given you? Well, here’s a way to enjoy your Cup of Joe without ever second-guessing yourself again! The owner of Olympic Crest Coffee, a generous Christian businessman in Lacey, Washington, is a supporter of missionary Charity Lanman’s ministry in Sudan. He has made a commitment to give half the proceeds of every 12-ounce bag of coffee he sells ($10.50) to support her medical clinic and well-drilling efforts in Sudan.

Their coffee comes in four delicious blends – French Roast, Columbian, Bed and Breakfast, and full flavor Decaf – and is available whole bean or ground. Check out Olympic Crest Coffee for a description of their aromatic flavors.

Disclaimer: This is not a coffee advertisement! Certainly, we wish success to every hard-working Christian businessperson trying to make it in this difficult financial climate. But that isn’t the reason for this post. This is a brilliant and creative way to help fulfill the Lord’s Great Commission, reaching the world with His love while still enjoying one of His good gifts to you – a stimulating cup of Java! Imagine sitting down with your Morning Thunder knowing that a child in Sudan is going to enjoy fresh water that day because you invested your coffee money wisely! I can’t help but remind you of Jesus’ promise in Matthew 10:42, “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.”

For those who aren’t familiar with Charity Lanman, take a moment to read about the work and future plans of her team in Sudan – Charity’s ministry. Or if you want to find out more about the vision of the mission for which Charity works, check out their website – International Aid Services.

In my opinion, Charity Lanman is one of the great visionaries and most devoted followers of Jesus in our generation. I am proud to call her my friend and sister in Christ. If this opportunity to support her and her work in Sudan has touched your heart, please don’t hesitate to respond to it. “For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints.” (Hebrew 6:10)
